Illustrator's Note: I fell absolutely in love with this story arc, one of the first that W. put to paper. I was very concerned about doing it justice, as I was still very much testing my comic legs. At this point, I had researched the art of comic layout, although my speech bubbles still have some definite room for improvement. I ended up being very pleased overall with my progression with the look of the world and the characters over the eight pages of this arc. Enjoy Blind Fly's Bluff, and don't judge Ember too harshly - she's just a teenager.

Illustrator's Note: Squirrel Fishing was the first Fern Sea story arc published, and was sort of a trial run. W. had penned several short story arcs and this was the one that looked easiest for me to get a better feel for the world of Fern Sea, and I love drawing Cog, the Royal Engineer who's a bit like MacGuyver crossed with Star Trek's Scotty with a good bit of gnome tinkerer thrown in. I hadn't come to understand comic layout quite yet, nor comic bubbles, so this is definitely an "improvement needed" comic. My shading, such as it is, is also very different in this arc than in future storylines. With all of those caviats, enjoy Squirrel Fishing! :)

Unfortunately, our old Comic Hosting site is pretty inferior to a basic blogspot site, just in stats and comment ability alone!
